Breastfeeding

Pumps -- Suggestions?
Is used ones of craigslist sanitary?

Probably depend on who you bought from if sanitary or not,and I'm sure they can be sterilized, but to me this would be an item that would have to be brand new. Just my 2cents.

Electric is the ONLY way to go. Used or hand me down would be best. You can also rent them from hospitals if you want. They are always dishwasherable. :P

I love my Medela Pump In Style. They are expensive, but I pumped 2 full bottles within 10 minutes. Of course, I used mine a LOT with the twins while they were small. I bought my new off Ebay, but a used pump I think is fine, but new parts would be needed for santitation. If you are not going to be pumping all that much and staying at home, I wouldn't spend the high dollor amounts. That's my opinion.

At my breastfeeding class the teacher really srtessed new, then I overheard something about her selling Pumps. So I thought maybe she was ...

I have always been told to buy the pump brand new.
I am all about nice used things at a good price, but I will splurge on a new pump
